Haivian Factory Build. Discover. Solve. Anything.
Haivian Factory Governed AI operations
Factory Journal

From human purpose to verified outcomes.

Haivian Factory turns human intent into an authorized research or engineering program. It coordinates specialist work, preserves the evidence, separates production from acceptance and returns an outcome that can be inspected, accepted or revised.

One operating model for purpose, execution, evidence, verification, continuity and learning.

Guided evaluation. Available only inside a bounded customer evaluation.

01 The problem

Capable models produce work faster than institutions can account for it.

A capable model with broad access will do a great deal of work very quickly. What it will not do is tell you which of that work it was authorized to perform, what it assumed, where it stepped outside the brief, or what state it was in when it stopped.

Those questions only have answers if something recorded them at the time. Reconstructing them afterwards from logs and memory is not governance, it is archaeology, and it is the part that gets expensive when somebody senior asks you to justify a decision.

Most AI is asked to mark its own homework. Haivian Technology builds an institution around the work, one capable of rejecting its own evidence, repairing its process and continuing without rewriting history.

Coupled software

A change can cross architecture, implementation, tests, interfaces and deployment assumptions. Factory keeps those dependencies inside one scoped program, with human authority over material changes.

Research that changes the build

Research, experiments, implementation, test results and revision can inform one another without erasing which evidence supported which decision.

Testing and revision

A failed check can return a bounded finding to the work, support a defined correction and produce a new exact artifact for review.

Human authority

A person owns scope, resources and consequential gates. Complexity is handled by decomposition and evidence, not by an unlimited promise to finish any codebase or research program.

02 How the work moves

Six states, and a person at both ends.

This is the operating contract: what you supply, what happens to it in terms you can check, and what comes back.

  1. 01

    Human purpose and authority

A person sets the objective, the guardrails and what may be spent.

  2. 02

    Agreed program

Intent becomes an authorized program with an owner and an edge.

  3. 03

    Governed specialist execution

Specialist work runs in parallel, inside the limits that were agreed.

Each specialist task is assigned the appropriate level of intelligence, from efficient local models to frontier reasoning, with stronger intelligence introduced only when the work, evidence or strategic importance justifies it.

When a problem contains a credible quantum opportunity, Qonduit provides a governed path from research intent to bounded quantum computation, while classical validation and human authority remain intact.

  4. 04

    Evidence preserved

The record is made while the work happens, then frozen.

  5. 05

    Independent verification

Something that did not produce the work examines it.

  6. 06

    Accepted or revised outcome

A disposition you can inspect. Revise is a real answer.

03 Human authority

The top of the architecture, not a disclaimer at the bottom of it.

Everything the Factory does inherits its limits from a person, and nothing inside it can widen them. Six things are set by a human before a program exists.

GoalsWhat outcome actually matters.
PrinciplesHow trade-offs get resolved.
GuardrailsLimits and ethics. What may never happen.
StandardsWhat acceptable quality looks like.
ResourcesWhat may be spent. A hard edge.
ApprovalWho authorizes work, and at which gates.

A person also decides whether to proceed at consequential gates, approves exceptional model use, and remains accountable for any real-world action taken on the result. The Factory returns a decision. It does not take the decision.

04 Appropriate intelligence, and the quantum path

What is the least intelligence that still produces a verifiable result?

That is the allocation question, and the answer is frequently not a frontier model. Stronger intelligence is introduced only when the work, the evidence or the strategic importance justifies it.

  1. 1
No executionWork does not proceed when it should not proceed. Stopping is a permitted answer, not a failure.
  2. 2
Local modelsBounded, low-risk work that never needed a frontier model and often should not leave the machine.
  3. 3
Lower-cost cloudWhere a cheaper model is genuinely sufficient for the assignment.
  4. 4
Strong cloudDemanding work that carries real difficulty.
  5. 5
AstraUnusually high-value strategic reasoning, by exception.
Operating choices
StandardEfficient default intelligence. Most programs never need more than this.
Astra PlanningAstra supports or challenges the initial program design, where the shape of the work is itself the hard part.
Astra at Strategic GatesA Program Director may request Astra for a defined purpose. The expected cost is visible and human approval is required.

Astra is never auto-assigned merely because it is available. It does not replace the Program Director, and it does not hold human authority.

The quantum path

When a problem contains a credible quantum opportunity, Qonduit provides a governed path from research intent to bounded quantum computation, while classical validation and human authority remain intact.

Quantum is admitted when it is justified, and a well supported decision not to use it is a successful outcome of the same boundary.

05 Independent verification

The producer cannot grant acceptance to its own work.

  1. 01 ProduceA specialist line does the work inside its boundary.
  2. 02 FreezeThe artifact is fixed. From here it cannot quietly change while it is being judged.
  3. 03 ValidateThe work is checked against the criteria that were set before it started.
  4. 04 VerifyAn independent verifier that did not produce the work examines it.
  5. 05 Independent dispositionA verdict is recorded by that separate authority.
  6. 06 Canonical acceptanceThe result enters the record as accepted, with its limitations attached.
Why freezing matters

The artifact being judged cannot quietly change while it is being evaluated. Without a freeze, a passing verdict describes something that no longer exists, and every downstream claim inherits that ambiguity.

Why separation matters

The producer cannot grant acceptance to its own work. A system asked to check itself will pass itself, because the confidence comes from the same assumptions that produced the answer.

Independent verification is the normal acceptance boundary. It applies to everything, not only to important work, and the outcome is a recorded PASS or REVISE. Haivian Council is a separately constituted assurance institution convened on top of that when importance, risk or disagreement warrants deeper scrutiny, and deciding it is not warranted is an ordinary outcome.

Designed for fast, earned progress.

Haivian Technology can move quickly because research, execution and verification proceed through an organized computational institution rather than through one long queue. These are the mechanisms. None of them is a measurement.

06 What you receive

A decision surface, with optional modules around a safe core.

Every accepted result arrives in the Discovery Interface: alternatives, sensitivities, evidence and remaining uncertainty, all inspectable. Core authority, evidence, bounded revision and stop-start recovery are part of Factory itself; fundamental safety does not depend on buying Steward or another add-on.

Guided evaluation. Available only inside a bounded customer evaluation.

Available only inside a bounded customer evaluation. Factory is not generally commissioned, and initial customer access is a bounded, guided evaluation.

07 Pricing

Two scoped engagements, plus a separate local installation.

All prices are in USD.

Factory prices are one-off per scoped project or program. Provider usage, hardware and work outside the agreed scope are separate.
