Publication type
Mathematical proof, counterexample, empirical verification, replication or a clearly scoped inconclusive assessment.
A distinct journal for standalone audit, validation and replication papers about exact claims, evidence, methods and limitations—including clearly scoped inconclusive findings.
Each future record will separate the publication type, subject topics and review status. A Council vote or test-suite PASS alone is not proof, certification, scientific qualification or evidence of independence.
Claims tested. Findings published. describes the intended value when a record passes every gate. The public index contains two full-text validation records.
Publication boundaryThe Validation Journal is separate from the Research Journal, Company Journal and Discovery News. Common Haivian/Qonduit ownership and any author involvement are disclosed. Haivian/Qonduit-authored work cannot claim independent third-party status; the publication does not imply accreditation, certification, DOI or indexing.
A label should tell readers what kind of record they are viewing without confusing its subject with the outcome of review.
Mathematical proof, counterexample, empirical verification, replication or a clearly scoped inconclusive assessment.
The same canonical mathematics and science taxonomy as the Research Journal. One record may have multiple relevant topics.
Supported, unsupported, refuted, unresolved or inconclusive within the exact reviewed claim, version, evidence and methods.
Search reads only this journal’s empty public index. Private manuscripts, evidence, audit intake and review logs are excluded from the static bundle and public search.

We report a version-bounded validation study of a manuscript that reconciles apparently conflicting nondimensional forms of the decaying two-dimensional Taylor vortex. The original article distinguishes the side length of an assumed square domain, the trigonometric vortex scale, and the reference length used in a Reynolds number. Its central claim is that two periodic profiles can carry different numerical Reynolds labels while representing the same physical field at matched viscosity, with $ReD=2\pi Re\ell$ when $D=2\pi\ell$. We tested that claim together with the translated exact solution, pressure convention, full-period invariants, periodic compatibility, Fourier support, and two numerical fingerprints. The review combined direct componentwise derivations, dimensional analysis, source inspection, counterexamples, and a newly authored standard-library executable using exact Gaussian-rational Fourier coefficients for normalized spatial identities. All 28 recorded checks completed successfully. The checks included deliberately wrong pressure signs and factors, a wrong decay rate, omission of the density factor from the physical-pressure Poisson equation, omission of moving-phase differentiation, pressure-only periodicity on a half-size box, and a shifted-window counterexample to an overstrong averaging statement. High-precision decimal references independently reproduced the reported pressure and energy fingerprints to the stated tolerance. The central analytical reconciliation in frozen version 1.0 is supported, but the original manuscript was not validatable as an unqualified whole. It required explicit dimensional-to-nondimensional mapping, complete numerical normalization, clearer attribution of the periodic box as an analysis assumption, an energy-per-unit-depth qualification, positive finite-Reynolds scope, qualified historical provenance, and figure corrections. A subsequent targeted revision check confirmed those corrections in byte-identified version 2.0 and found no outstanding scientific correction within that bounded check. No audit credit is transferred automatically across versions. The work does not validate a numerical solver, establish an official Airbus interpretation, demonstrate turbulence or industrial-flow performance, or constitute external human peer review. The review was human-directed and AI-assisted, using procedurally separated contexts from one AI provider within organisations and journals under common ownership or control.

This validation manuscript distinguishes an audit of the original v1 paper from checking its revised v2 account. The fresh v1 audit supported the recorded byte arithmetic and independently matched all 348 archived result digests, while requiring material corrections to endpoint classification, verification provenance, oracle independence, domain specification and workload interpretation. The unchanged suite contains 24 scenarios in eight families, two arms and three deterministic repetitions. Candidate recorded frames total 86,490 bytes versus 100,800 for the baseline (-14.1964%); repeated context instead costs 7.6579% more. The arithmetic audit's 348 matching digests comprise 336 output successes and 12 correct first-false replies across 58 distinct task keys. Historical wire frames are absent, fault timing is incomplete, and the scored coefficient structure is unusually favorable to shared-denominator encoding. The v2 research manuscript explicitly incorporates these limits and corrects factual references. The separate correction-check report identifies the exact revised source bytes and determines closure of the listed corrections. Such closure validates the revised reporting at its stated scope; it does not create new experimental evidence or transfer blanket scientific credit from v1 to v2.
